Nick Carnell

CEO – Johns Lyng Group Australia

Nick joined Johns Lyng Group in 2014 and is currently the CEO of Johns Lyng Australia. With a strong history in leading the Group’s operational and financial performance, Nick now has oversight of the entire Group’s operational and financial performance in Australia. With over 17 years’ experience in the construction industry, Nick has significant experience in all facets of construction along with a Diploma in Financial Strategy from Oxford University. Nick has implemented a variety of successful and innovative business solutions along with creating and nurturing new industry relationships. Nick’s leadership has been pivotal in growing existing and new brands with a focus on supporting the Group’s people to achieve the best possible outcomes. This leadership has allowed Johns Lyng to attract the very best talent to expand into new geographies and services.

 

Joshua Barnes

Chief Operating Officer – Australia

Josh joined Johns Lyng Group in March 2012 as a Senior Supervisor and quickly advanced within the company, progressing to Construction Manager of Queensland, then Operations Manager, Executive General Manager of Insurance Brands. Now serving as Chief Operating Officer, he has gained a comprehensive understanding of industry requirements from the ground up.

As an open-class licensed builder with an Advanced Diploma in Building and Construction, Josh brings a wealth of expertise to the company. He has successfully led and managed responses to major catastrophe events across Australia, including Cyclone Yasi and widespread East Coast low-weather events. His deep industry knowledge and strategic leadership continue to drive excellence across Johns Lyng Group.

Matthew Lunn

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Matthew is a strategic and commercial Finance Executive. He has significant experience in Corporate Finance across Investment Banking, Private Equity and Professional Services environments. Prior to joining the Group in 2016, Matthew was General Manager of Corporate Development with Aligned Resources Group (Private Equity Investment Company), before which he was part of Ernst & Young’s Australian mergers and acquisitions team. Matthew relocated to Australia from the UK in 2010, where he worked in London for over 9 years, including at Vantis Corporate Finance and Dresdner Kleinwort Investment Bank, where he focused on M&A and Private Equity Advisory. Matthew is a UK Chartered Accountant and CFq designation holder (ICAEW’s Advanced Diploma in Corporate Finance).

 

Adrian Gleeson

Group Executive - Investor & Business Relations

Adrian served as the Group’s Chairman from 2011 to Listing.

After finishing his AFL playing career with the Carlton Football Club (where he played 176 games, was a member of the 1987 Premiership team and is a Life Member), he developed a career in the wealth management and financial services industries.

In 1999, he established C.A.G Wealth Management, which subsequently merged with Tribeca Financial. Adrian had a strong focus on relationship building within the SME market and he supported a number of high-net-worth individuals, family offices and corporates helping to co-ordinate their accounting, legal, banking and finance affairs in a successful manner.

As a Director, Adrian plays a key leadership role supporting investor relations, government relations, new client acquisition and M&A programs.

Jack Didier

Executive General Manager – Insurance Brands

Jack Didier is a seasoned executive with a proven track record of leadership, strategic growth, and operational excellence. Over the past seven-plus years at JLG, Jack has played a pivotal role in driving business expansion and fostering strong partnerships.

Jack began his tenure at JLG as a Project Supervisor in the Makesafe Builders team, where his expertise in project management, client relations, and sales quickly set him apart. His leadership and vision led to his appointment as Director of Makesafe Builders, overseeing the division’s growth into four specialized segments: Project Solutions, Makesafe Insurance, Reactive Maintenance, and Aztech.

As Executive General Manager – Insurance Brands, Jack is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, performance and growth of JLG’s insurance-related businesses. He works closely with internal teams, clients and industry partners to strengthen service offerings, optimise operational efficiencies and drive sustainable growth.

With a strong track record of leadership and innovation, Jack continues to drive the success of JLG’s Insurance Brands portfolio. His ability to align strategic initiatives with business objectives, foster high-performing teams, and enhance client partnerships positions him as a key leader in JLG’s ongoing growth and success.

Philippa (Pip) Turnbull

Executive General Manager - Business Development & Marketing

Pip joined the Group in early 2014 as General Manager of Business Development and Marketing. With a background in events management and marketing spanning more than a decade, Pip has worked on major projects and campaigns for a range of clients across various fields. This includes BHP Billiton’s 2008 Olympic Project Team, managing community events designed to strengthen relationships with clients and stakeholders globally.

Pip has been a very dynamic and driven member of the leadership team at Johns Lyng Group for many years and has been influential in winning new customers and developing strong and sustainable relationships, thanks to her deep knowledge of Johns Lyng’s existing and potential client base.
